Clinically Developed Therapy Programs For Aged Care and Dementia
Delivered Through Virtual Reality
— Our Solution
Non-Pharmacological Therapy for Aged Care and People Living With Dementia
1:1 programs that use reminiscence and sensory experience to reduce agitation and support quality of life for people living with dementia.
Non-pharmacological programs for anxiety, agitation, pain, and insomnia that can be built directly into care plans.
Gentle, person-centred experiences tailored to a resident's life history and cultural background to bring comfort and connection at end of life.
A broad library of purposeful programs that run 1:1 or in groups, designed to spark conversation and keep residents socially engaged.
— The Challenge
Reducing Psychotropic Use Is No Longer Optional
The strengthened Standards require non-pharmacological approaches to care before medication is relied on, and providers must evidence what they tried. Wellbeing programs that can't be measured can't be shown to the Commission.

— Clinical evidence & outcomes
Measurable, Non-Pharmacological Care For Aged Care Homes
NeuronsVR exclusive programs are evaluated through clinically trialled studies and ANZCTR-registered clinical trials. The evidence supports compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards and can be used in individual care plans and ACQSC accreditation reporting.

— Why It Works
Every Behaviour Has A Reason. True Care is Understanding.
A person living with dementia is never randomly agitated. Behaviour is a response to an unmet need, and when that need goes unaddressed, distress escalates quickly, consuming staff time that should be spent engaging with residents.
NeuronsVR gives staff a way to identify and respond to that need directly. A resident distressed by an old routine, pain, or loneliness can be met with a relevant experience from the Therapy Library. With their unmet need fulfilled, the resident has no reason to escalate leading to therapeutic engagement with no need for chemical intervention.

What Aged Care Professionals Say About NeuronsVR
I have implemented Neurons VR into 2 aged care facilities now and can honestly say it is life changing for many isolated and immobile residents.
Alison Groth
Director of Residential Services | McLean Care
We've slotted it right into our activity schedule. Staff pick it up in minutes, and residents never want to take the headset off.
Joanne Lee Flanagan
St Anna's Residential Aged Care, NSW
We can engage residents who can't go outside if they're bed-bound. It makes them feel like they're in the outside world, giving them more quality of life. It’s just so easy to use: it’s user-friendly, staff-friendly, and resident-friendly.
Fran Meneses
Our Lady of Consolation, NSW
Our clients have responded so well. We took a Maltese lady to the beaches of Malta and all the memories that came to her mind was just incredible to watch. She was raving about this experience.
Fiona Mills
Lifestyle Coordinator · Arcare St James, QLD
The best thing is this: it's easy to use and doesn't need an internet connection. I can use it anywhere in the room or anywhere in the facility. Residents can't travel overseas like they used to do. When they put the VR on, they feel like they are right there in Paris or Venice.
Nita Jain
Facilities Provider · Kopwa Aged Care, NSW
We’ve been using Neurons VR now for some years and it’s a fantastic product that our residents really love. We’ve seen some really significant improvements in terms of those who are in our memory support unit. We’ve also seen people who just generally are loving the ability to escape day-to-day and escape into either their prior working life or perhaps into international tours that they can do via the VR.
